Can Sobriety Be A Reality ?

I bet if you are addicted to alcohol you may have asked yourself, "can sobriety be a reality" and I am here to tell each and everyone of you that has an addiction to alcohol that sobriety is here for your taken.

The only thing that is holding you back from getting clean and sober is YOU!

You can wish and dream that you were sober, but that fact of the matter is, how bad do you want to change your life?  Are you willing to never pick up an alcoholic drink again for the rest of your life?

Alcohol addiction is nothing to fool around with because those demons will indeed hold you hostage for the rest of your life if you allow them to do so. You must stand up to the addiction that will put you to rest sooner or later.

You have to be serious about getting clean and sober and not just say "I will stop drinking alcohol for a week or two or even a month," and then once you prove to yourself you can stop drinking you go right back to your old ways of drinking and abusing alcohol.

Addiction is no laughing matter nor is it a game we play.  This so called game is between you and your  demons, and believe me, your demons WILL WIN if you allow them.

I can tell you through my experience with drinking alcohol, and now being clean and sober since October 27, 2009 that SOBRIETY ROCKS!

If you don't believe me then just try sobriety out.  You might just fall in love with it and wonder why you have been abusing alcohol for so many years.

Just make up your mind once and for all that you want to change your life and then take the action to make it happen.  Really getting sober is not that hard.  Once you have made up your mind and have promised yourself you will never tough a drop of alcohol for the rest of your life, you will be on the road to recovery and a life of sobriety.

NOTE: There is no cheating whatsoever once you have decided to get sober.  None of this crap like, there is a party coming up and you think you can have a drink or two and then go back to sobriety again.  That will never work my friends!

You can make sobriety a reality with some hard work, determination and the willingness to get sober.  Granted this will not be easy, but is very possible if you give sobriety a chance.

In the beginning, for myself, it was like torture having no alcohol in my body, but I had to stick to my promise of not drinking alcohol ever again.  As the days passed by and when I woke up in the morning and said to myself, "well I made it sober one more day!"

You have to realize we as alcoholics need to take ONE DAY AT A TIME and before you know it you will be sober for a month, then a year and then you will be counting the years sober as I am right now while writing this post.

So don't wonder what it will be like days, weeks or months from now.  Concentrate on today!  Take one day at a time and never look back at your past of drinking and getting drunk and all those SO CALLED fun times you had.

The fun times in my life drinking alcohol were really not fun at all.  I sure don't miss having that huge hangover and feeling like crap each and every morning.  How about you, do you think you would miss that if you were clean and sober?  Heck no, you wouldn't miss feeling like crap, I can bet on it.

So the only way to never feel like crap from drinking too much alcohol is very simple, you just don't drink and your problem is solved?

Keep a positive attitude at all times while you are trying to stay sober and never let anyone or anything make you go back to your old ways, no matter what happens.  You are stronger than your addiction and keep telling yourself that and you will beat the demons within you, trust me!

While writing this post I am just thinking of my drinking days and telling myself, "I must of been some kind of idiot for abusing my one and only body for all those years!"

None of us are stupid, nor are we idiots.  We all have minds and brains and know what is right and wrong, so stand up to your addiction and seek sobriety in your life and make it long term sobriety.  You will never regret quitting drinking, and once you feel that life of sobriety you will ask yourself, "why did I drink alcohol to begin with?"

MY NEW GRANDSON LUCAS.  WHY IN WORLD DO WE DRINK AND ABUSE ALCOHOL AND TAKE THAT CHANCE OF DYING BECAUSE OF IT, AND THEN MAYBE MISS OUT ON THINGS SO PRECIOUS AS THIS?

Only If My Dreams Can Come True

Have you ever wanted a dream to come true?  You probably have said to yourself, "only if my dreams can come true right?"

Any dream can true if you really believe it can.  You have to have that positive attitude first and not think for a minute with those negative thoughts.  Thinking with negativity will get you nowhere fast.  If you work hard to make your dream a reality it will surely come, and will come when least expected.

You have to hack at that dream and continue to work on it until that dream comes true for you.  All of us have dreams and goals in our life, but many of us think it isn't possible for that dream we have to ever be a reality.  Right there is where you are going wrong.  We as humans can make anything come true if we want it bad enough, and if we work hard to achieve whatever it is we want.

Some of us just don't have the spunk to get it going and get the job done.  I must say whatever you want in life will not just fall in your lap.  It takes hard work and determination for anything in life to happen.  I shouldn't have to tell you that right.  I am sure you already know that, but if you don't, that is the key to making your dream come true and having success in your life.  WORK HARD, DREAM AND MAKE THAT DREAM A REALITY.

Never give up on something you want, because as we all know, we are only here on Earth one time, so we need to make everyday count and make the best of each and everyday.
HERE AM I LIVING MY DREAM ON THE OCEAN.
SOMETHING I HAD DREAMED ABOUT MY LIFE.

Dreams Can Come True

Everyone in the world have dreams as we all know, but how many of us fight to have those dreams come true?

I am not referring to our dreams while we sleep.  I am referring to everyday life and the things we have always wanted in our life, but for some reason that dream or goal in your life has never come true.

You may ask, "why is it I have these big dreams and none of them ever come true?"  The fact of the matter is, maybe you are not trying hard enough to make that dream or goal come to life and be a reality in your life.

Everyone knows that anything we want good in our life takes hard work and pure determination to make it happen, and without a positive attitude when doing so those dreams will be a long time coming. Anything in your life you wish to have, or any dream you want to fulfill takes planning and hard work.

That dream will remain a dream unless you put forth the work to make it a reality.

I had a dream my whole life, and that was to be able to live by the ocean, but one thing in my married life held me back from fulfilling that life long dream and that was an addiction to alcohol.

I stopped drinking alcohol on October 27, 2009 and have been sober ever since.  Granted I wasted many years by drinking alcohol, but ever since I found sobriety, I have made it to the ocean and living my dream.  I made that dream, although it took many years, a reality.

So the big thing here is that if you are one of those people that have big dreams and goals in your life, you must know they will become a reality if you put forth the time, energy and hard work to make it happen.

I quit drinking alcohol and before I knew it, that dream of living near the ocean came true. See, I found that if you help yourself in life, things will indeed work out for you.  I am living proof that dreams do come true.
